Okinawan Association of America is organizing a mini Shichigwachi/Obon live on thier monthly Zoom meeing for everyone who misses Obon Matsuri!

We are going to perform Hiyamikachi Bushi and Danju Kariyushi. Hiyammikachi Bushi was written in 1948, to encourage Okinawan people after devastating the second World War. Danju Kariyushi is widely known as a popular Eisa(Okinawan drum dance) song, but originally it is a song to wish the safety of fishiermen and those traveling by the ocean.
